Technical Questions
How do I host my domain names on Domain Apps? There are a variety of ways to host your domains on Domain Apps. You can use our DNS or your own. We also offer redirection and preview options, as shown below.
Option 1. Use our nameservers:
Using our nameservers will allow you to quickly switch between Parking and Content sites on Domain Apps without modifying your DNS or changing namesevers at your domain registrar. Simply update the nameservers at your domain registrar to the following:
- ns1.domainapps.com
- ns2.domainapps.com
Option 2. Use your nameservers and manage DNS entries
You should be comfortable with modifying DNS records before choosing this option. If you move domains in your account from Parking to Content Sites or vice versa, you will need to change the DNS records to point the domain to the right servers.
Parking Options:
1. Update the A record on your domain to point to the IP: 74.117.114.119
2. Redirect your domains to: http://www.searchnut.com/?domain=[YOURDOMAIN], where [YOURDOMAIN] is the full domain name including extension.
Content Site Options:
1. Update the A record on your domain to point to the IP: 98.129.126.138
2. Redirect your domains to: http://[YOURDOMAIN].whypark.net, where [YOURDOMAIN] is the full domain name including extension.
Can I preview my domain name before moving DNS?
Absolutely. To preview your domain before moving DNS, just go to one of the redirect options above to see how it looks.
Can I put my ads on domains hosted on Domain Apps?
You can insert your ads if you're at the Enhanced or Managed account, but only on your developed domains on Domain Apps.
